I was born in Barcelona and raised as a bilingual speaker of Catalan and Spanish. After working at a rare and antique bookshop in Barcelona, my passion for books, cinema and documentaries drew me to the audiovisual translation as a first step in my translation career. I had the opportunity to work for the Spanish State Television (RTVE) as a subtitler for the deaf and the hard-of-hearing, and to collaborate with a number of dubbing and subtitling studios in several projects that involved translating and subtitling into Spanish and Catalan various documentaries, films for festivals and TV shows. Later on, I spent 5 years working as a translator, proofreader and transcreator at Booking.com, where website localization was a big part of my core tasks. While working as a freelancer, I also joined some interesting projects in marketing and language consultancy. I am truly passionate about languages and their subtleties, and I am a very detail-oriented professional that never overlooks quality while sticking to deadlines.
